After a long hiatus I hauled out my bread machine to bake some bread for dinner with a friend--it was so easy to put all of the ingredients in and just turn the machine on for 4 hours while I buzzed about making lasagna and cleaning house! This was a basic, 1.5 lb bread machine recipe with a few modifications: I swapped out one cup of white flour for whole wheat, added a few drops of marjoram essential oil, and snipped in a bunch of fresh rosemary from my garden. The result? A really nice, subtle herb bread that was just wonderful for dipping into olive oil that evening and just as good toasted with a bit of butter the next day! |
